Does Union Power offer a rebate for an electric vehicle or home charger?

No. Union Power does not offer a rebate for buying an electric vehicle or for installing a home charger. Members do have two related options: the Residential Time-of-Day rate, which can lower the cost of charging overnight, and vehicle financing through ElecTel Cooperative Federal Credit Union, which is a separate lender rather than a cooperative rebate.

Federal tax credits have ended. The clean vehicle credits ended for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025, and the home charger credit ended for equipment placed in service after June 30, 2026. Earlier purchases may still support a claim. Confirm your situation with the IRS or a tax professional.

  1. Ask an Energy Specialist whether the Time-of-Day rate fits your charging schedule.
  2. ElecTel finances vehicle and efficiency loans up to $30,000; contact them for current rates and terms.
  3. Check federal incentives with the IRS rather than with an installer or dealer.
