Payment Options
Pay Online- View and pay bills on our secure site using your credit card, debit card or by electronic check. Click here, then enter your account number or User ID and Password and select "Payments" to pay your bill now.
Electronic funds transfer (Draft Payment) allows members to authorize withdrawal of funds from checking or savings account or credit/debit card to pay the amount due by the due date of each month. If you wish to sign up to have your payment drafted directly from your checking or savings account or by using a debit or credit card, please call 704-289-3145 and choose option 4. One of our customer service representatives will be happy to assist you.
Pay by Phone with our automated system at 704-289-3145 or 1-800-922-6840. (There is no charge to use our automated service. A $5 service fee will be applied to bill payments made through our Customer Service Representatives.)
Pay by mail or in person- Visit one of our two locations in Monroe, NC or Oakboro, NC.
Union Power Cooperative does not accept electric bill payments from third party vendors:
Union Power has not authorized third party vendors such as retail establishments to accept payment of members’ electric utility bills on our behalf. These companies are in no way affiliated with Union Power, and we cannot guarantee that payments made to such third party vendors will reach the Cooperative to be posted to members’ accounts.
Members may pay their bill using their personal bank’s authorized online bill pay system or by choosing any of the following options:
- Pay through the mail by sending payment along with bill stub to our post office box address (PO Box 63043, Charlotte, NC 28263)
- Pay over the phone by calling either of our offices and speaking with a customer service representative
- Pay online through our website using our secured online payment process
- Pay in person at either of our Monroe or Oakboro offices
If you are a Union Power member who has submitted payment of your electric bill through any unauthorized third party vendor, please be aware that you are still responsible for payment of your balance directly to the Cooperative utilizing any of the four payment options listed above. This is the only way to ensure full receipt of payment in a timely manner.
If you see any vendor/location claiming to be an authorized third party vendor to accept payments on behalf of Union Power Cooperative, please report this immediately by calling our office at (704) 289-3145 or 1-800-922-6840.
