Transmission Line Siting Project

High-voltage electrical power will be delivered to the new Twelve Mile Creek Substation over a new 100,000-volt transmission line, and Union Power has begun executing a comprehensive transmission line siting process to select its route. The siting process includes the collection and analysis of massive amounts of environmental, land use, scenic, and cultural resource data. It also includes public involvement and provides several ways for the community to furnish information directly to the siting experts that will be considered in the siting study.
